Reading Bee: Cultivate the passion for reading
Reading Bee is a program for progressive readers to develop their confidence and love for reading. This involves gradual, guided and systematic learning by connecting sounds to letters, letters to words, and words to the stories. The stories are interesting and packed with themes that all children can identify with and enjoy reading about.
Fitzroy Readers: A Gradual Reading Progress
Fitzroy Readers is a comprehensive set of storybooks and worksheets that helps your child to strengthen their reading skills. This involves providing a logical progression of new sounds for each reader. Each story uses and builds on words and sounds from previous stories, so that your child can familarise himself with previous words and continue to build on his word bank with new vocabulary.
For example, the readers begin with simple words such as ‘cat’ , ‘mat’ ,’bat’ and progress to the word family ‘er’ with words such as ‘faster’ and ‘warmer’. Children will gradually hone their skills on writing, sounding and recognizing words through these interesting stories. This is an essential step in building a strong foundation in the English language.

Music
Kindermusik (18 months to 4 years old)
Created for the child enrolled in a childcare center or pre-school program, ABC Music & Me is a research-based language and early literacy program built around music. This class helps children ages 18 months to 4 years develop pre-literacy and language skills. ABC Music & Me supports the early childhood standards and requirements for “high quality programs” as defined by the USA’s National Institute for Early Education. Plus for the older age group, this class aligns with pre-K national and state standards.
Foundation Keyboard and Music Education (5 to 6 years old)
Music is one of the greatest joys of being human. Every child should therefore have the opportunity to explore this joy. Our programme seeks to reach out to every child in their critical years of development, helping parents impact the musical aptitude of their children.
We stand apart as a “not-the-regular” keyboard class because our focus and motivation stems from the child, and we take developmental appropriateness very seriously. Our programme is both process-oriented and result-oriented for a holistic music education in the early years. The process-oriented facet of the programme recognizes the pre-schoolers’ needs to move and have fun. While the child is immersed in that fun, the truth is that they are really experiencing the elements of music like phrase, beats, tonality or patterns. The body is the best starting point to learn music. On the other hand, the result-oriented facet equips the child with the tools to express their musicality through the keyboard.
We aim to provide children of 5 to 6 years old with music classes that are developmentally appropriate, elicit success and aid their critical early year’s growth. No child should be taught the “wrong way” and no child should be denied the opportunity of music. This is why we choose to be accessible by coming close to our children and families instead of them having to seek us out.
Dance Education
The dance education programme aims not only to promote Chinese culture and nurturing young talents through dance training and public performances but also to develop the community’s appreciation of Chinese classical and folk dances in Singapore.
The syllabus in this programme incorporates Chinese Folk Dance with Ballet to cultivate a greater appreciation of dance among the children. The course includes teaching of dance techniques, Chinese poetry and songs, Chinese dance syllabus, Chinese folk dances, classical ballet, Modern/ Contemporary dance, martial arts, music and drama, performing and appreciation of Arts.
All in all, it allows children to have a better understanding and appreciation of the Chinese culture and performing arts, build up their self-confidence while imparting good moral values into them. Children will also have the opportunity to gain exposure on stage performance and receiving training on other arts form.
