When designing these chairs, the K2 children had to consider the feelings and experiences of the people who would be using them. Beyond aesthetics, they were encouraged to think from the user’s perspective and consider the functionality and comfort of the chairs.
Through this design process, children learnt to empathise with others and gained a deeper understanding of how art can be used to express inclusivity and care for diverse needs.
