Mixed media – recycled cardboard, paper rolls, coloured paper, foil, string, plastic parts, and clay.
Inspired by Nguan’s photograph Untitled (from the series Singapore) and its iconic pink slide, our children at Nobleland Clementi imagined what playgrounds might look like in the year 2045. Drawing from the charm of familiar landmarks like the Dragon and Watermelon playgrounds, they reimagined these nostalgic spaces with bold, futuristic designs.
Using a variety of recycled and craft materials, the children explored ideas of movement, light, and storytelling — envisioning slides that glow, swings that soar, and play spaces filled with imagination and adventure. Through this creative journey, they reflected on change, innovation, and the enduring joy of play. Their work was proudly featured in the Think! Contemporary Preschool Exhibition by the Singapore Art Museum, where two young artists also shared their inspirations on stage — a proud moment for all!
