Side By Side: Old & New In Focus

Recycled cardboard, wire, coloured paper, office paper boxes, birthday cupcake boxes, clay.

Inspired by a visit to the Singapore Art Museum, our K1 and K2 children at Nobleland Punggol created a stunning artwork that celebrates Singapore’s journey through time. The children used recycled materials to bring together the past and present, creating vibrant scenes of colorful shophouses, elegant Nyonya dresses, classic old-style buses, and modern HDB flats.

The K2s focused on crafting the charming shophouses and intricate Nyonya dresses, while the K1s designed old and modern buses, HDB flats, and even adorable clay cats. This heartfelt collaboration captures the spirit of National Day, showcasing the children’s creativity and their growing understanding of Singapore’s history and culture. The final artwork reflects how the past and present beautifully coexist in our everyday lives.
