The”Little Hands, Big Earth” project aims to instill a love for nature and a sense of responsibility in young children by involving them in hands-on planting and recycling initiatives. Through this SSDB project, children will engage in meaningful, age-appropriate experiences that encourage care for the environment, community involvement, and sustainable practices.
Through this project, children were able to understand basic environmental concepts such as recycling, reusing, reducing waste, and plant life cycles. They also demonstrated social responsibility by caring for plants, reducing waste, and promoting sustainability, and developed collaborative and problem-solving skills through group activities and discussions. In addition, the children participated in community involvement, sharing knowledge and practices with families and the wider community. They were able to express ideas and observations through creative arts, reflections, and simple documentation.
Hence, this project supports the belief that small actions from little hands can make a big difference in building a greener and cleaner future.
