SSDB Project 2023
Embracing Inclusion
The children in Nobleland @ Punggol has embarked upon a different journey - Inclusion, for our Start Small Dream Big Project this year!
As we grow into embracing inclusion in the society, the children experienced the challenges faced by visually handicapped people.
For the launch, our children experienced the challenges like walking with blindfolds, experienced dining in the dark and walking with only using their sense of hearing.
Textured Art for the Visually Handicapped
The children in Nobleland Arts N Learning Place @ Punggol made textured art using the quilling techniques, an artwork that they will experience using their sense of touch. The children created this artwork by picking up twigs, painted them, and some rolled the paper to create the shape they wanted. These textured arts will then be put up for sale and the money we collected from the parents will be solely donated to Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped.
Finale: Donation Drive for Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped
To end our journey in Start Small Dream Big this year, the children had a donation drive where they sell their textured masterpieces to their parents. The children collected a total amount of $2286 from the donation drive from their generous parents, in which Nobleland @ Punggol donated a total amount of $2500 for Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped on their Flag Day.
We hope the donation drive has marked another significant different in the children’s live.
